Position Purpose:
Lead the development and execution of business development strategies that expand the company's market presence and drive growth of Individual Coverage Health Reimbursement Arrangements (ICHRAs). Build and strengthen relationships with brokers, employers, and key stakeholders; identify and advance new business opportunities; and develop market expansion strategies that support sustainable growth and organizational objectives.
Key Details: Centene is advancing Individual Coverage Health Reimbursement Arrangement (ICHRA) adoption as a market-based alternative to traditional employer-sponsored health insurance. The ICHRA model combines predictable employer healthcare spending with employee choice and portability. This role will play a pivotal role in building and scaling our growing ICHRA-focused insurance business.
- Develop and execute business development strategies that expand ICHRA adoption and drive organizational growth.
- Identify, evaluate, and advance new market opportunities through strategic analysis of market, financial, operational, and regulatory factors.
- Lead market expansion initiatives and direct business planning activities to support entry into new and emerging markets.
- Build executive relationships with brokers, employers, consultants, and key stakeholders to strengthen market presence and accelerate growth.
- Oversee implementation of new business initiatives by establishing governance, performance measures, and accountability for results.
- Identify and mitigate business, operational, and regulatory risks through collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
- Monitor and communicate business performance, growth opportunities, and market trends to executive leadership.
- Represent the organization with regulators, policymakers, and industry stakeholders to support strategic business objectives.
- Lead and develop a team responsible for business development, market execution, and relationship management across assigned markets.
Education/Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Political Science or related field required. Master's Degree in a related field preferred. 8+ years years of business development, sales, or investment analysis required. Experience with closing deals. Previous management experience including responsibilities for hiring, training, assigning work and managing performance of staff required. Experience with healthcare and group benefits sales & administration preferred. Extensive travel required
