*Note: This is a fully remote role in the state of Florida. Qualified applicants must reside in Florida. Approximately 20% - 25% travel for business needs and/or in-person department meetings. Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future. Position Purpose: As part of Sunshine Health plan, the Manager of Strategic Initiatives serves as a critical resource in supporting, managing, and leading strategic projects and initiatives for the department. The position will support leadership in leading strategy execution. They will also build strong relationships with key functional areas and provide leadership and oversight to staff.

  • Supports Plan Administration in execution of established strategic plan and key processes.

  • Responsible for development and implementation of key Operations/Administration projects.

  • Plans, conducts and directs work on complex Operations projects/programs necessitating the origination and application of new and unique approaches.

  • Work with Operations leadership to develop and implement action plans to address processes needing improvement.

  • Provides project oversight and administration to ensure that the development and delivery of solutions meets or exceeds the expected business requirements.

  • Engage department associates, managing associate performance providing recommendations, feedback and coaching as needed.

  • Coaches and manages the team and direct reports.

  • Manages associate performance by effectively communicating expectations and providing regular feedback with recommendations for development.

  • Effectively manages processes and projects within department managing projects from inception through life cycle.

  • Leads and develops the workflow for all business processes.

  • Ensures prompt and proper resolution to internal business owner requests.

  • Builds strong cross-functional relationships with internal departments to drive business strategies and issue resolution.

  • Lead project workgroups.

  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously and resolve issues identified.

  • Provides project oversight and administration to ensure that development and delivery of solutions meet requirements.

  • Provides leadership in support of strategic program initiatives to ensure financial obligations are met.

  • Manage and monitor vendor/delegated/contracted relationships and performance including SLA oversight.

  • Oversees periodic executive summaries prepared for Senior Management on overall performance and trends.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Complies with all policies and standards.

Education/Experience:

  • Required a Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent experience.

  • 5+ years of experience in leading projects and initiatives.

  • 2+ years of experience in leading people.

  • Experience in managed care preferred.

  • Financial and P&L acumen, healthcare operations preferred.
Pay Range: $70,100.00 - $126,200.00 per year

Actual pay will be adjusted based on an individual's skills, experience, education, and other job-related factors permitted by law, including full-time or part-time status. Total compensation may also include additional forms of incentives. Benefits may be subject to program eligibility.
