Position Purpose: Responsible for defining, governing, and evolving the enterprise security architecture to ensure technology solutions are secure, scalable, compliant, and aligned with business and risk objectives. This role serves as the architectural authority for security design while providing leadership, governance, and strategic direction across cybersecurity initiatives. This role aligns to the NICE Security Architect (SP ARC) and Oversight & Governance (OG) work roles.
Security Architecture & Design Authority (SP ARC)
Define and maintain the enterprise security architecture, including principles, standards, reference architectures, and design patterns.
Provide architectural oversight and approval for security designs across cloud, application, infrastructure, data, and AI platforms.
Ensure security controls are designed in, risk informed, and aligned with enterprise architecture and business strategy.
Lead threat modeling and architecture risk assessments for new and existing technologies.
Partner with engineering, data, AI, and infrastructure teams to translate security requirements into implementable designs.Governance, Risk & Strategy (Oversight & Governance)
Establish and enforce security architecture governance, including design review boards, exception management, and risk acceptance processes.
Ensure architectural decisions align with regulatory, privacy, and industry frameworks (e.g., NIST, Zero Trust, AI governance).
Collaborate with risk, compliance, and audit teams to support defensible security architecture decisions.
Translate technical risk into business level impacts for executive and senior leadership audiences.
Contribute to cybersecurity strategy, roadmaps, and multi year investment planning.Leadership & Stakeholder Management
Lead and develop a team of security architects and senior engineers.
Act as a trusted advisor to the CISO, CIO, enterprise architecture, and senior technology leaders.
Influence cross functional teams without direct authority to drive secure by design outcomes.
Provide executive level briefings on architecture posture, risks, and strategic tradeoffs.Leads enterprise security architecture and governance, ensuring technology solutions are securely designed, risk aligned, and strategically integrated across the organization.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Complies with all policies and standards.
Education/Experience: Requires a Bachelor's degree and 6+ years of related experience in cybersecurity, with significant experience in security architecture and design. Prior management experience.
Proven experience operating at the intersection of technology, risk, and business strategy
Or equivalent experience acquired through accomplishments of applicable knowledge, duties, scope and skill reflective of the level of this position.
License/Certification:
CISSP Certified Information Systems Security Professional preferred
CISM - Certified Information Security Manager preferred
• CCSP or equivalent cloud security credential preferred
• Other risk, governance, or architecture focused certifications as applicable preferred
