Description

You could be the one who changes everything for our 28 million members. Centene is transforming the health of our communities, one person at a time. As a diversified, national organization, you’ll have access to competitive benefits including a fresh perspective on workplace flexibility.

Position Purpose:
This role supports enterprise content development by helping bring the corporate narrative to life across high-priority storytelling efforts mainly as a writer and editor. It applies strong narrative judgment and message discipline to ensure content is clear, consistent, and aligned with company priorities.

The main focus of the role is providing editorial guidance that shapes the storytelling and narrative approach for requests for proposals (RFPs), supporting both re-procurements and new business opportunities. The role defines the core story and key messages that run through proposal narratives and works closely with our RFP writers and subject matter experts to ensure the narrative is accurate, clear, cohesive, and compelling. Technical and operational response content is handled by other teams, allowing this role to stay focused on guiding what story is told.

  • Serves as a lead editorial partner for enterprise proposal development, shaping and refining priority content to ensure proposal narratives clearly articulate and reinforce the corporate value proposition and enterprise story.
  • Applies rigorous editorial standards—including voice, tone, structure, and narrative flow—across all proposal components, ensuring a unified story from executive summary through supporting sections.
  • Acts as a senior narrative editor, collaborating with cross-functional subject matter experts to translate complex, technical, or operational content into compelling, client-focused narrative sections that support the overall proposal strategy.
  • Extends proposal storytelling disciplines and editorial best practices to other high-impact enterprise content initiatives as needed, applying the same narrative rigor used in competitive pursuits.
  • Ensures all content adheres to applicable policies, procedures, brand, and editorial standards.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Complies with all policies and standards.

Education/Experience:

Bachelor's Degree in related field or equivalent experience required

6+ years writing experience in RFP response development, preferably in managed care or other entities in the healthcare industry required

Pay Range: $107,700.00 - $199,300.00 per year
