Position Purpose: Leads the management and oversight of all aspects of a technology project to ensure it is completed on time and within budget. Has overall responsibility for managing scope, cost, schedule, internal staffing, vendors, and contractual deliverables. Develops detailed project plans. Monitors project milestones and generates periodic status reports. Evaluates and manages risk. Incorporates quality measures and standards to project deliverables.
  • Leads multiple medium to large sized projects
  • Leads development and execution of division project initiatives
  • Owns, track, and report on key performance metrics for leadership
  • Works with project stakeholders to develop an objective-based comprehensive project plan as per allocated time and budget
  • Establishes, builds rapport, and maintains relationships with stakeholders, third parties and vendors to ensure their coordination with internal resources
  • Creates, builds, and updates project schedules, project charters, status reports and work breakdown structures
  • Tracks and reports on financial data, performance, and status of multiple projects by leveraging project management tools and techniques; continually reviews and makes recommendations to ensure adequate availability of resources
  • Identifies key project risks and manages them to ensure the delivery of business goals; escalates issues to management as needed
  • Facilitates and determines the resolution of project-related conflicts including necessary corrective action(s)
  • Ensures consistency and adherence to corporate operational standards and processes
  • Ensures proper project closure including lessons learned
  • Works with consultant staff performing a wide-range of project controls functions.
  • Prepares information technology project status reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information and trends.
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Complies with all policies and standards

Education/Experience: Requires a Bachelor's degree and 5 – 7 years of related experience. Or equivalent experience acquired through accomplishments of applicable knowledge, duties, scope and skill reflective of the level of this position.

Preferred Skills:

  • Proven track record of Data Center/ Core Infrastructure technology build out and deployments (i.e. CISCO/CITRIX/Virtual Computer/Storage/Data protection)

  • Security build out/deployments (i.e. Akamai, CrowdStrike Falcon etc.)

  • ServiceNow PPM

  • Hybrid Waterfall deployment methodology

  • Fast pace environment doing enterprise level deployment experience along with juggling multiple priorities


Technical Skills:

  • One or more of the following skills are desired.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office; Project Management; Root Cause Analysis; Sourcing; Stakeholder Management; Vendor Relationship Management
  • Knowledge of Agile Software Development; Scrum (Software Development); Software Development Life Cycle

  • Intermediate - Seeks to acquire knowledge in area of specialty
  • Intermediate - Ability to identify basic problems and procedural irregularities, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions

Pay Range: $98,900.00 - $183,100.00 per year

Centene offers a comprehensive benefits package including: competitive pay, health insurance, 401K and stock purchase plans, tuition reimbursement, paid time off plus holidays, and a flexible approach to work with remote, hybrid, field or office work schedules. Actual pay will be adjusted based on an individual's skills, experience, education, and other job-related factors permitted by law. Total compensation may also include additional forms of incentives.
