Position Purpose: Acts as a lead to a team of Business Technical Analysts, coordinates technical training for the Team, provides project tracking/metrics, acts as technical Team liaison with IT and vendors as needed, acts as a cross-functional project lead and provides status reports on Team activities to the Manager.

  • Formulates new internal processes and analytical reports to improve information resources.
  • Gathers data from departments; update periodic reports; analyze statistical data to identify and correct errors and to evaluate general content.
  • Using advanced business unit knowledge, proactively researches requests for assistance and recommends software solutions or process improvements that will meet business needs.
  • Conducts accounting-based research and analysis to provide definitive financial data and advice for use in administering specific fiscal programs and processes.
  • Performs review analyzes, including accumulation of data, financial & forecast modeling, reporting and monitoring of responses.
  • Develops ad-hoc reports to conduct data analysis and validation.
  • Analyzes trends to recommend process and/or operational improvements.
  • Researches methodologies and conducts advanced metric reporting.
  • Evaluates financial impact of implemented initiatives.
  • Participates in mentoring analyst within the team to strengthen the team’s knowledge, expertise and flexibility by sharing knowledge of history, background, data, processes and anything relevant to develop Analysts into Subject Matter Experts and broaden their knowledge base.
  • Escalate hot topics and processes at risk of missing requirements to help keep the analysts and business Teams synchronized.
  • Uses raw data from data warehouse to generate reports using statistical tools like SAS.
  • Evaluates internal and external customers’ needs and abilities in order to provide appropriate solutions.
  • Provides input to business requirements for the design of solutions.
  • Explores the data and discovers patterns, meaningful relationships, anomalies and trends.
  • Designs Institute-wide “views” and custom reports.
  • Performs analysis for a wide range of requests using data in different formats and from various platforms.
  • Researches business problems and creates models that help analyze these business problems.
  • Develops best practices for report deployments. Additional Responsibilities:
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Complies with all policies and standards

Preferred Skills:

  • Strong leadership and mentoring abilities
  • Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, R and SQL
  • Experience with data visualization tools like Power BI, or similar
  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g. AWS and Azure) and data analytics tools and services
  • Preferred experience implementing Machine Learning/Predictive Modeling
  • Preferred experience developing Artificial Intelligence (AI) solutions

Education/Experience:
Required A Bachelor's Degree in a related field Computer Science, Data science, Information Technology, Mathematics, Statistics, or Public health.: Required or equivalent work experience in technical data analysis
Preferred Other a Master's degree in a related field, i.e., Mathematics, Computer Science, etc may be considered in lieu of some of the required experience (not to exceed 2 years)

Candidate Experience: Required 5+ years of experience in business technical analysis or similar related role
Preferred 5+ years of experience in healthcare

Pay Range: $103,500.00 - $191,600.00 per year

Centene offers a comprehensive benefits package including: competitive pay, health insurance, 401K and stock purchase plans, tuition reimbursement, paid time off plus holidays, and a flexible approach to work with remote, hybrid, field or office work schedules. Actual pay will be adjusted based on an individual's skills, experience, education, and other job-related factors permitted by law. Total compensation may also include additional forms of incentives.
