Important Note: To be considered for this Associate Actuary role, this position requires a minimum of an ASA (Associate of the Society of Actuaries) credential, a bachelor's degree, and a min. of 2+ years of actuarial experience.

Position Purpose:

  • Conduct analysis, pricing and risk assessment to estimate financial outcomes. Manage health plan specific actuarial needs and produce actuarial reports to aid in developing corporate strategy

In this Associate Actuary role, you will:

  • Perform actuarial related activities for multiple health plans with analyses and financial forecasting
  • Apply knowledge of mathematics, probability, statistics, principles of finance and business to calculate financial outcomes
  • Communicate technical concepts and results to both actuarial and non-actuarial audiences
  • Analyze and evaluate required premium rates
  • Analyze various data reports, identify trends and gaps and recommend action
  • Research and analyze the impact from legislative changes
  • Developing probability tables based on analysis of statistical data and other pertinent information
  • Assess cash reserves and liabilities enable payment of future benefits
  • Create and update actuarial reports
  • Participate in merger and acquisition analysis

Preferred experience:

  • Medicaid experience preferred, but not required


  • Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience. 2+ years of actuarial experience.
  • License/Certification: Fellow or Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA) (or equivalent international certification)

*Applicants for this job have the flexibility to work remote from home anywhere in the Continental United States. However, due to the needs of the business, this role must be performed 8 am - 5 pm CST or EST*

Pay Range: $84,300.00 - $151,700.00 per year

Actual pay will be adjusted based on an individual's skills, experience, education, and other job-related factors permitted by law. Total compensation may also include additional forms of incentives.
