Position Purpose: Manage a team of product managers and product support staff in the implementation and management of Centene Medicare products. Ensure that team is developing and managing processes to optimize the workflow of the Medicare product cycle and driving the implementation and integration of Medicare products. Lead cross-functional teams in a matrixed environment. Assess the performance of existing products to ensure they are meeting market expectations. Identify needed product modifications and/or enhancements and implement product changes. Provide support in new product development implementation including licsensing; Medicare bid submissions, filings and materials review; and benefits configuration of Medicare products.
Provide support in the development of Medicare product implementations, including: defining and reviewing benefits configuration and system requirements, identifying educational gaps and developing and facilitating training programs, developing and improving workflow, and review of Medicare materials, bid submissions and filings.
Develop and oversee project plans for implementation of Medicare product initiatives.
Assess existing products' performance based upon input from internal/external sources
Identify required product modifications/enhancements and present to senior management for approval
Monitor and track industry demands and competitor enhancements
Education/Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in related field or equivalent experience. 5+ years of related project management, preferably in product development and product management. Medicare product, compliance or benefits configuration experience highly desired. Previous experience as a lead in a functional area responsible for managing cross functional teams on large scale projects or supervisory experience including hiring, training, assigning work and managing the performance of staff. Thorough understanding of CMS and other Medicare regulations and benefits configuration related to Medicare Advantage and MedSupp plans a plus. Strong technical skills in MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access) highly desired.
