Description:
Position Purpose: Oversee the maintenance of accurate financial records, including preparing monthly financial reports and various analytical reports. Oversee routine financial analysis; complete complex financial analysis. Develop business knowledge in financial reporting, risk management, contracting, benefit analysis, and other financial functions. 
  • Manage the month end, quarter end, and year-end closing process and oversee the completion of financial statements and supporting analysis, validating accuracy and clarity of all deliverables
    • Lead and hands-on support monthly operating, reporting, metrics (reserves, LBW, Waterfalls, 10-Day Forecast, other) and variance explanations related to Month-End process
    • Lead, peer review, and support Month-End reports for Pre-Lag call
  • Prepare budget, forecast, and analyze financial results related to expectations
  • Peer review for monthly analysis results, reporting, metrics, and variance explanations related to Month-End process
  • Provide financial and business analysis based on information from various sources and financial reports
  • Present results of analysis and recommend appropriate actions to Finance Director and senior management (as required)
  • Oversee the Capitation payments and premium billing process
  • Lead and hands-on support for Mid-Year and Annual preparation of financial support and PowerPoint to Corporate on these two budget reviews
  • Support Ad-Hoc requests coming to Finance from other organizations at CCW or corporate (partner as needed with Finance Director for research and reply to these requests)
This role will split time between Tacoma and Seattle. 

Qualifications:

Education/Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent experience. 3-5 years of experience, with emphasis in the health care or insurance industry.
