Description:

Position Purpose:

Lead the development of strategic population health analytics within multiple complex operating environments across Centene. Formulate and align analytic capabilities to business unit strategies
Lead market analytics to support senior leadership to identify business opportunities, product enhancements, and new offerings in the evaluation of financial performance and proactive measurement of risk and medical expense trends
Provide organizational leadership and oversight to business intelligence staff dedicated to finance, HBR (health benefit ratio), clinical, provider contracting, and quality measures analytics
Collaborate with senior leaders to execute medical cost reduction strategies, cost optimization initiatives, business impact assessments, and enterprise architecture frameworks
Develop and champion adoption of population health analytics programs, including affordability, risk adjustment, quality and health outcomes
Lead the ongoing development of analytic capabilities, within the enterprise to enable enhanced client solutions through improved data reporting
Provide expert advice, analytics and consultative support on cost of care issues, identify and drive action for continuous improvement and cost efficiency
Identify and prioritize analytical gaps between the current-state and industry best practices; implement solutions to generate business value

Qualifications:

Provide vision, strategy and operational leadership for Centene’s health economics including targeted medical cost/utilization measures, financial measures and population health initiatives within Centene’s Markets and Products organization.

Experience/Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline such as Statistics, Biostatistics, Informatics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Public Health, or Economics. Master’s degree preferred. 10 years of data analysis, statistics or related experience. Previous management experience including responsibilities for hiring, training, assigning work and managing performance of staff.
