Marketing Coordinator

  • Requires: Bachelor’s, 0-2 years’ experience
  • Helpful background/attributes: Internship, proofing experience, multitasker
  • Position Responsibilities: Exposure to many projects, coordinate events and event materials, proof all content (copy, website, social media, brochures, advertising, etc.), coordinate approval processes
  • Career Paths: Marketing Specialist, Senior Marketing Specialist

Media Monitoring Coordinator

  • Requires: 0-2 years of experience
  • Helpful background: Public Relations and Social Media experience
  • Position Responsibilities: Monitoring business reputation on the internet and company’s reputation and competitive research; communicate this intelligence to senior leadership
  • Career Path: Public Relations Specialist, Public Relations Manager
  • Perks of Role: 360 view of the company and everything going on across all brands; ability to interact with other departments, experience working with executives early on

Media and PR Specialist

  • Requires: 0-2 years of Experience
  • Helpful background: Major in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations experience; strong writer, communicator, ability to multi-task and public speaking
  • Position Responsibilities: Support the day to day media and PR activities throughout the company, including draft/editing press releases and media statements, coordinating media interviews, monitoring social media and media coverage and making recommendations on appropriate responses
  • Career Path: Social Media Administrator, Manager/Director of Social Media; Media PR Specialist, Media Manager/Director
  • Perks of the role: Exposure to executive leadership on a regular basis, view of the entire company, every day has its own challenges and is unique

Auditor I

  • Requires: Bachelor’s degree, 0-2 years’ experience
  • Helpful background/attributes: Communication skills – new topics with new people, self-motivated and self-paced, analytical skills, team player, open to complex projects
  • Position Responsibilities: Internal meetings with the team, inquiry meetings with managements and auditees, participate in operational audits or financial statement control audits
  • Career Paths: Auditor II, Senior Auditor, Operations, Corporate Quality

Compliance Analyst

  • Requires: Bachelor’s degree, 0-2 years’ experience
  • Position Responsibilities: Maintain relationships with compliance at various health plans, may focus on a few health plans assigned to them, develop relationships, tracking/updating risks, communicating to make sure compliance has all the open risks, and creating action plans to fix those

  • This position can be a springboard to many areas in the company, and will provide exposure to various operational process areas, product lines, and Centene health plans, while also offering opportunities for travel.

Financial Analyst I

  • Requires: Bachelor’s, 0-2 years’ experience
  • Helpful background/attributes: Accounting or Finance degree; previous internship experience, applying theory into practice
  • Position Responsibilities: Financial forecasting, processing invoices and reconciling the amounts daily as well as monthly. Reporting what needs to go out to operations areas so they can understand things from financial perspective
  • Career Paths: Financial Analyst I is entry level and can move to FA II in a year or two; lots of room to move around the organization, I-IV, manager/assistant plan controller

Actuary Analyst

  • Requires: Bachelor’s degree, 0-2 years’ experience, 1 exam passed
  • Helpful background/attributes: Excel experience
  • Position Responsibilities: Extracting and summarizing healthcare data using SQL and Excel, providing actionable results to various audiences, and suggesting next steps
  • Career Paths: Actuary Analyst, Senior Actuary Analyst, Actuarial Associate, Senior Actuarial Associate, Actuary

Application Software Developer I

  • Requires: Bachelor’s degree, 0-2 years’ experience
  • Helpful background/attributes: Experience with Java, SQL, understanding of software development lifecycle, knowledge of Agile, exposure to databases
  • Position Responsibilities: Front End/Back End work, lots of work done alongside developers, day to day product support, end to end delivery of software services; software design, development, testing, deployment and support; lots of learning across a number of areas
  • Career Paths: Application Software Developer II-III/Web Development

Data Analyst I

  • Requires: Bachelor’s degree, 0-2 years’ experience
  • Helpful background/attributes: Experience working with data analytics, statistics or data science; good foundation of IT understanding and technical work; strong communication skills
  • Position Responsibilities: Information discovery, data gathering/wrangling, results analysis, dashboard/report creation; interviewing and information gathering, along with multichannel presentation and information dissemination

Junior Human Resources Representative

  • Requires: Bachelor’s degree, 0-2 years’ experience
  • Helpful background/attributes: Experience in HR is helpful but not required, ability to communicate effectively over the phone, ability to learn and understand a wide variety of areas in the company
  • Position Responsibilities: Field many types of questions and produce answers or route the question to the correct source; learn about many different fields within Centene
  • Career Paths: Senior HR Representative, Absence Management Coordinator, Human Resources Business Partner

Junior Data Management Specialist

  • Requires: Bachelor’s degree, 0-2 years’ experience
  • Helpful background/attributes: Experience working with data sets and analytics, ability to interpret data, and governance of policies
  • Position Responsibilities: Analyze information that has been provided to HR and identify trends that will help shape company policy
  • Career Paths: Senior Data Management Specialist, Human Resources Business Partner
